Rana Feghaly on Via Clerici, Milan

I was standing on Via Clerici, just outside the Mila Schön S/S 2012 show. What stood out to me at first, and I'm sure you are thinking the same, were the punctuated red Oriental pantaloons Rana was wearing. The color, the draping and folding. Such splendor! Her entire outfit was vintage, and she certainly looked the part. The second noticeable feature, and this will not be known to you through the photo, was her accent. Our dialogue wasn't off to a great start, especially when I was prompted with a, "OK, but I won't look at you, because I hate these things", after I asked to take her photo. The bluntness coupled with the intonations of her voice could only mean one thing to me: this woman is Lebanese! And sure enough, I was right. The moment I called her on it, because it takes one to know one, she automatically warmed up to me and we chit chatted as if we had been friends for years.

Rana is an accessories designer living in Milan. Her label is called, FRom Beirut with Love. She doesn't have a website yet, but you can check some of her goods out on Facebook. I love the earrings made out of these tiny scrolls in Arabic script.
