When Black Becomes Blah

MONTREAL - By some strange force of nature most of us tend to gravitate towards black in the winter. Maybe it's because the pavement salt stains our leather boots, or maybe it's our way of balancing out the blanket of white that covers the streets. Whatever the reason, black eventually gets blah.

Enter Allyssa. She is the brains behind the personal style blog, project 22, that features fashion, food and travel. Here, she defies our winter instincts with a chic combination of colour and print. She keeps the look from becoming too overwhelming by pairing it with simple, neutral accessories. This winter, the next time you have to choose between a leopard print coat or a simple black jacket, go for the former!
